Mojave Audio MA-200SN - Large-Diaphram Tube Condenser Microphone
The MA-200SN is a large diaphragm, vacuum tube condenser microphone with a fixed cardioid pattern. Born to a lineage of fine microphone designs by David Royer, the MA-200SN gives warm, full-bodied reproductions of vocals and instruments, with none of the shrillness and high frequency distortion artifacts that are often encountered with modern condenser microphones.
Utilizing hand-selected single-sided 3-micron capsules, high-quality Jensen audio transformers and military-grade JAN 5840 vacuum tubes, the MA-200SN performs at a level reminiscent of some of the best loved classic condenser microphones. The MA-200SN power supply can be set for 115V and 230V, 50 or 60 Hz, through an internal switch (100V is also available). Each MA-200SN microphone, power supply and cable set is burned in for 24 hours, carefully tested and evaluated, then packaged in its protective case-within-a-case.
Vanguard Audio Labs V14 VARIABLE-VOLTAGE TUBE CONDENSER
Vanguard Audio Labs is proud to present the V14 Tube Condenser Microphone – designed to be a versatile, reliable, professional tool in the vein of the highly-sought-after vintage Austrian-made condensers of yesteryear. The V14 is, in fact, the single capsule sibling of Vanguard Audio’s acclaimed V24 Dual-Capsule Stereo Tube mic, the crème de la crème of stereo microphones.
The V14 features a BeesNeez CK12 Capsule, vintage GE 6072A tube, 9 polar patterns, and a unique “Variable Voltage” control that can starve or drive the tube voltage, creating even more tonal colors.
With our premium cryogenically-treated tube circuitry, Neutrik® interconnects, US-made audiophile-grade resistors, Cinemag® transformers, and a VLSM shockmount, the V14 is the finest example of an updated legacy tube condenser available at any price.
Hand-made in small batches in the USA, this is the definitive modern tube microphone and will be the crown jewel of any mic locker.
SO…IT’S NOT A CLONE?
Vanguard Audio Labs did not set out to make a “clone”, “homage”, or “tribute” to some of the most beloved Austrian microphones of yesteryear. Rather, we used the basic circuit topology and improved upon it in as many ways as we could. This includes:
• Variable Tube Voltage control for starving or driving the tube beyond nominal, creating even more unique voicings
• 3 Selectable Voicings for a “12”-, “251”-, or “ribbon”-style high end, giving the engineer more tonal options
• A modernized power supply with extra filtering stages and integrated polar pattern switching for lower noise and reliable operation
• Improved noise filtering along the capsule and power paths for reduced noise floor
• Extended low frequency response with a better transformer design and component value changes, allowing full-bodies capture of any source
• Modernized components, including US-made audiophile-grade low-noise resistors, high-end capacitors, Cinemag® transformer, sealed microphone switches, and deep-cycle cryogenic treatment of the majority of the componentry
World’s First Variable-Voltage Tube Control
Vanguard Audio Labs has added a switch on the power supply that sags or over-supplies the main tube voltage. You could think about it like Eddie Van Halen’s “brown sound”, but for a mic. We believe this is a world first for a microphone (although more knowledgeable pro audio historians may prove me wrong!)
A typical mic with this style of circuit will operate the tube between 65-80V. With the Variable Voltage Control located on the power supply, you can adjust the tube’s plate voltage between 34-105V. This changes the parameters of how the mic operates:
• Total Harmonic Distortion
• Transient Response/”headroom”
• Frequency Response
• Output Level
This makes the V14 even more versatile, allowing the engineer to find settings for ideal musicality. We’ve noted the “standard” operating points with larger marks on the power supply so you can use the mic at it’s traditional operating point. We laser-engrave a handy chart on the bottom of the PSU for the engineer’s quick reference, and the makeup gain required is listed on the switch positions to keep your levels optimal.
Oversupplying the tube will increase 3rd-order harmonic distortion as it pushes the Cinemag output transformer, as well as increase output level.
Undersupplying the tube will increase 2nd-order harmonic distortion and reduce output level, as well as reduce “headroom” and change the way the mic reacts to transients.
Quality
The V14 is designed and built in the USA, and undergoes final assembly in sunny Southern California. The PSU chassis is bent locally. We are assembling every unit by hand – every last solder joint and screw. We perform 100% quality control – every single piece of your microphone kit undergoes a series of stringent audio and visual tests in Southern California before being hand-packed.
Every component of the V14 was designed to be robust and reliable. Wherever possible, components were over-specced. The deep-cycle cryogenic treatment improves the lifespan and performance of critical electronic components. Each microphone component is built from stainless steel. Every Vanguard microphone is backed by our FIVE-YEAR WARRANTY.
Design
Every great microphone starts with a great capsule. After much consideration, we chose the BeesNeez CK12 capsule for the V14. These Australian-made beauties are manufactured using modern automated CNC machining and Ben is extremely knowledgeable of the original CK12s. One of the most complex (and revered) capsule designs ever conceived, the CK12 is the beating heart of some of the most hallowed vintage microphones.
This capsule is set within our Vanguard Audio Labs chassis platform, with an open-weave headbasket for low internal reflections and a natural sound.
The Cinemag® transformer emulates the properties of the famed “T14” transformer found in vintage Austrian microphones, but uses a larger core to obtain better low end response along with higher-quality alloys and precision windings.
For the V14, we spared no expense finding premium-grade, over-spec components sourced from manufacturers around the world. We cryogenically treat the majority of components, including a hand-selected vintage GE 6072A tube. We chose to use US-made, low-noise, precision-spec, audiophile-grade resistors. Each circuitboard is populated and soldered by hand in our California workshop.
Aesthetically, the precision-machined stainless steel body is hand-polished to a #4 grained finish. Your V14’s serial number is laser-engraved on the lower rear of the microphone in our workshop.
Performance
Vanguard designed the V14 with the character of vintage Austrian-made microphones in mind, while also utilizing modern technology & design to meet the demands of today’s recording professionals.
The historically-accurate CK12 capsule is switchable via the power supply between 9 different polar patterns.
On the rear of the microphone is a 3-way switch which offers 3 different microphone voicings –
• Flat – an untouched signal flows straight from the tube to the output transformer.
• “251 rolloff”, a switchable capacitor which gives that famous Telefunken model its signature top end.
• “ribbon” style, giving a thicker, warmer sound.
The PS-14 power supply is built like a tank and designed from the ground up to provide clean, consistent power with no drift.

First is the open front, which allows you to position the microphone as close to the source as necessary. Second, we install aerospace-grade suspension rings that won’t break, sag, crack, or stretch over time. This shockmount was designed to fit any microphone with M22x1 threading, so you also can use it with a number of microphones from other manufacturers.
The V14 also comes with the PS-14 power supply, which allows 9 selectable polar patterns for each capsule and provides clean, unadulterated power to your V14.
The 7-pin connecting cable is manufactured using Gotham GAC-7™ cable and Neutrik™ connectors.

Royer Labs R-122 MKII - Active Ribbon Microphone
In 2002 we introduced the R-122, the world’s first phantom powered, active ribbon™ microphone. It was a revolutionary development in ribbon mics, combining impedance matching circuitry with condenser-like output levels that allowed the R-122 to be used on even the quietest sound sources. It also allowed the mic to be paired to virtually any preamplifier.
The R-122 MKll takes the R-122 to a whole new level, delivering unprecedented flexibility for ribbons via the addition of a switchable -15 dB pad and a switchable bass-cut filter. The switches are completely out of the circuit when disengaged so when both are off, the microphone is for all purposes an original R-122. The switches are located on the back of the microphone and recessed to prevent accidental activation.

Roswell Pro Audio Mini K67X Matched Pair
Mini K67x is a compact, large-diaphragm condenser with harmonic coloration from its transformer-coupled circuit. The voicing is not overtly colored, but is not as neutral as the Mini K87; the upper mids (4-7kHz) are slightly scooped, and the rolloff above 12kHz is very gradual, giving the mic extended "air."
Each K67x is built by hand in California, burned in, and extensively tested.
Matching Criteria
We match these mics to 0.5dB in sensitivity (measured at 1kHz), and 1.5dB (or better) in frequency response, 50Hz–15kHz.

CHANDLER LIMITED TG Microphone Type L
The Chandler Limited EMI Abbey Road Studios ‘TG Microphone Type L’ is a phantom powered, cardioid, large diaphragm condenser microphone, and as the name implies, the Type L is descended from the innovative ‘TG Microphone.’
The TG Microphone Type L inherits the core circuitry, capsule and ‘Dual Tone System’ of the larger ‘TG Microphone;’ however, this is where the similarity ends. Apart from the ‘TG Microphone’; the Type L is tuned to have its own sound and unique voicings.
Roswell Audio Mini K47 captures the tone of a vintage microphone, with modern performance specifications.
"K47" refers to the capsule design. The capsule in this microphone is modeled after the one in the most famous microphone of all time. It provides a full, balanced tone without any harshness or hype in the upper frequencies. It will record less sibilance and fewer mouth sounds on your next vocal track. It will add weight and body to high strings and electric guitars. It will reduce the jangle in strummed acoustic tracks.
For this microphone, we chose a very clean and transparent circuit design. It lets the sound of the capsule pass through without alteration. Self-noise and distortion performance are on par with microphones costing significantly more. The circuit incorporates the best tricks we’ve learned from modifying and upgrading other companies’ products.
Roswell Pro Audio Mini K87 is a high-resolution condenser microphone with a neutral voicing. It aspires to transparency rather than color. Yet it retains enough character to capture and communicate the emotion of the source.
The mic's sound comes from a combination of a specially tuned K67/K87-style capsule and a circuit that we've designed to enhance and complement it. The final voicing of the microphone is a manual process that enables us to create a very consistent sound.
The Mini K87 excels on vocals (sung and spoken, including voiceover and podcasting), guitars, acoustic strings, and drum overheads.
PEARLMAN MICROPHONES TM-2
The PEARLMAN TM-2 is the answer to the many requests to offer a smaller, more affordable version of the TM-1. The mic is build around a military spec 6AK5 (EF95) pentode and uses the same basic point to point circuit as the TM-1 with a few small differences.
The TM-2 uses a 32mm American made capsule and comes with all the same “case candy” as all the PEARLMAN mics; power supply, shockmount, hand made cable and aluminum carrying case.
The TM-2 was designed to fit around a drum set and into small spaces and is a great tool in the studio for acoustic instruments as well as for recording vocals. Please inquire about International Shipping. Organically grown.

Mojave Audio MA-37- Mojave’s take on the classic Sony C-37a
Retro. Futuristic. We are proud to introduce Technical Grammy Award Winner David Royer’s modern take on a legend – the Sony C-37a. Known for its high headroom and ability to tame brittle high end, it became a workhorse in the 60’s, especially during the golden age of Hollywood recording – the “Wrecking Crew’ era. Studios such as Capitol Records and Sunset Sound acquired multiples, which are still use today. From Leonard Bernstein and the Columbia Symphony Orchestra and VO legend Mel Blanc (the voice of over 400 characters, from Bugs Bunny to Barney Rubble) though producer Daniel Lanois (U2, Peter Gabriel) and current artists, such as Bon Iver, the C-37a remains a ‘secret weapon’ microphone for those in the know. David Royer, who has been a fan of the C-37a for thirty years, has long desired to o er his updated version to the Mojave family – and that time has come. Designed primarily for classical applications and acoustic instruments, the SF-2 combines high-quality audio performance with an exclusive active electronics for ribbon microphones. The SF-2’s output of -38 dB puts its sensitivity on par with that of phantom powered condenser microphones, allowing it to be used with a wide variety of mic pres regardless of gain characteristics. The unique electronics and custom designed FET’s used in the SF-2 deliver ultra-quiet operation, with self-noise of lower than 18 dB.
Royer Labs R-10 Matched Pair- Passive Ribbon Studio Microphone
The Royer R-10 is a passive mono ribbon microphone designed for use in the studio and on live stages. Hand-built in our Burbank California factory, the R-10’s sound, and performance are all-Royer and it handles SPLs of up to 160 dB @ 1 kHz. The R-10’s compact size and mounting system allow for flexible, unobtrusive positioning.

Mojave Audio MA-1000DS - Multi Pattern Tube Condenser Microphone
The MA-1000 is a large-diaphragm Multi-pattern Tube Condenser Microphone, designed by Technical Grammy award winning microphone designer David Royer. Inspired from some of yesterday’s most revered microphones, this modern tube microphone features an original new old-stock 5840 tube, a 251-style capsule, and a custom-designed transformer built by Coast Magnetics. Among its notable attributes, the MA-1000 includes a remotely controlled, continuously variable polar pattern selector (omnidirectional to figure-eight) that is located on microphone’s power supply.
The MA-1000 also offers a switchable 15dB pad that facilitates high SPL recordings with no microphone distortion or preamplifier overload. This is particularly useful for close miking electric guitars. Similarly, the microphone provides a switchable low frequency roll-off designed to reduce the excess low end created by proximity effect, the bass buildup commonly experienced during close miking of vocals and acoustic instruments. The LF roll-off capability is also useful when miking electric guitars where less low end buildup is desired.
With world-class components, the new MA-1000 delivers a sweet, airy top end, ‘you-are-there’ realism in the mids, and an accurate yet authoritative bottom end. The microphone ships with an innovative shock mount design that was created by and licensed from Royer Labs.
Mesanovic Microphones SC1 is the first small diaphragm condenser microphone of the brand. It features an interchangeable capsule system and comes with matching omni and cardioid capsules. The SC1 is a transformerless design that offers low self-noise, low distortion, fast transient response, and a natural sonic character. The SC1 is precision machined from stainless steel and manufactured in Mesanovic’s Detroit based facility. Each pair of capsules is matched for both sensitivity and frequency response in an ISO certified anechoic chamber. The SC1 works great for stereo recordings of drums, strings, orchestras, piano, and acoustic guitar. Its high SPL capability also makes it a great choice for snare drums, toms, and electric guitar cabinets.
Mojave Audio MA-201fetVG - Large-Diaphram Condenser Microphone
The MA-201fet is a large diaphragm, phantom-powered, solid-state condenser microphone with a fixed cardioid pattern. With its roots in a lineage of microphone designs by David Royer, the MA-201fet gives warm, full-bodied reproductions of vocals and instruments, with none of the shrillness and high frequency distortion artifacts that are often encountered with modern condenser microphones.
Utilizing a 3-micron gold-sputtered capsule, high-quality Jensen audio transformer, military-grade FET and custom designed low-noise resistors, the MA-20fet performs at a level reminiscent of some of the best loved classic condenser microphones. Each MA-201fet microphone is carefully tested and evaluated, then packaged in its protective case with a professional grade shockmount.
