Output Options Spatial Mic in Anechoic ChamberSpatial Mic employs the concept of Ambisonics to transform the raw signals from the capsule array to a format suitable for audio production. The included software takes the guesswork out of this, letting you concentrate on your recordings. It’s as simple as setting the output to your desired format – mono, stereo, surround sound or even Ambisonics! Ambisonics enables audio reproduction on any number of speakers in varying configurations. Surround Output featuring state-of-the-art dual band decoders for 5.1, 5.1.2, 5.1.4, 7.1, 7.1.2, and 7.1.4.	The virtual mic & mid-side output can create different types of higher order patterns in mono or stereo that go far beyond classic Omni → Cardioid → Figure-8. MicNet Control App MicNet Control provides remote control of the analog stage and internal DSP processing of Spatial Mic Dante. Computers on the Dante network running MicNet Control can change the parameters of any microphone on the network. MicNet Control can change the audio output format which is accomplished in the microphone itself via DSP. Output options include unprocessed (for Spatial Mic Converter Plugin), 1st order ambisonics, surround feeds and virtual mic mono or stereo pairs. These additional options beyond unprocessed audio open up many applications for live performance and broadcast when low latency audio feeds are needed.

Spatial Control App The Spatial Record App is a user-friendly, multichannel recording tool designed for iOS, macOS and Windows. Use it to effortlessly record multichannel audio files up to 24-bit / 96 kHz from Spatial Mic USB to devices like iPhones, iPads and laptops. Spatial Mic Dante can also be recorded with the help of Dante Virtual Soundcard or other Dante interface. Audio files are saved as multichannel .wav files, which can then be easily imported into your DAW of choice for conversion with the Spatial Mic Converter plugin. Using the Spatial Record App alongside Spatial Mic USB offers a complete solution for capturing higher-order ambisonics wherever your travels may take you. The app’s intuitive design ensures quick setup, so you don’t miss out on critical recordings. Additionally, Spatial Record features a DSP mode for binaural playback (for files recorded with Spatial Mic), file browser and live monitoring.

Spatial Mic Control App The Spatial Mic Control app provides remote manipulation of various hardware parameters on Spatial Mic USB. Spatial Mic Control communicates with the microphone through the same USB cable used to supply power and stream audio data. Spatial Mic Control replicates the hardware controls found on Spatial Mic USB itself and adds additional functionality.

SETUP & RECORD

	Connect via ethernet cable to a standard IP network using off the shelf equipment you may already own. Use Dante Controller to easily route signals on the network.	Connect via USB to a compatible USB Audio 2.0 Host device or plug ADAT into an audio interface for multi-mic setup.
	Adjust Dante microphones on the network with MicNet Control. Switch output modes for live streaming, adjust analog gain, orientation and much more.	Adjust analog front-end mic gain, headphone level, metering and more with the anodized aluminum knob. Remotely control these features and more with Spatial Mic Control app.
	Record 8 calibrated channels from the capsule array into a computer using an ethernet port or build out a multi-channel system with additional Dante Interfaces.	Record 8 calibrated channels from the capsule array into a computer or mobile device. Monitor signal levels on the Spatial Mic USB LED display or in your DAW.
